
DR SIMON QUEK
BVMS (MURDOCH) MRCVSVETERINARY SURGEON AND DIRECTOR
Dr Simon Quek graduated from Murdoch University in 2000. He has a keen interest in veterinary dermatology, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. He has spent time working with and learning from the specialists at Murdoch University Veterinary Dermatology Clinic and surgeons at Melbourne University Veterinary School.
He completed post graduate studies in Veterinary Dermatology in 2003 and Small Animal Surgery in 2006. Dr Quek was the first in Singapore to start Intra-Dermal Skin Testing and Immunotherapy for allergic dogs and cats in 2004. In 2010, in collaboration with Heska AG, he introduced Heska Allercept tests with a specific Asian panel for South East Asia, which is the only test available in Singapore which is for allergens specific to Singapore. He continues to see referral dermatology cases at his practice at Hillside Veterinary Surgery Pte Ltd.
In his spare time, he is a keen bird and landscape photographer and participates in Ironman triathlon races.

DR AMANDA SIM

Dr. Amanda Sim decided to pursue her interest in Veterinary medicine after completing her honour’s degree in Biomedical Science from the National University of Singapore. She completed her veterinary studies in Murdoch University in 2013 and has been practicing as a small animal veterinarian in Singapore ever since. Her special interests include dermatology and dentistry. Dr. Amanda enjoys working up dermatology cases and works with Heska AG to do Heska Allercept tests with a specific Asian panel for South East Asia.
Dr. Amanda has 2 young daughters and also cares for a ginger cat named Jack that she adopted from Australia. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new countries, trying new cuisines and cooking.

DR LING KHOON HSING
BVSC (BRISTOL) MRCVSVETERINARY SURGEON
Dr. Ling graduated from Bristol University, UK in 1992.
She enjoys all aspects of veterinary work especially building a relationship with both pet and owner.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her 4 cats and dog and training in swimming, cycling, and running. She regularly competes in triathlons both locally and overseas.

DR LUCY SHUM
BVSC (USYD), IVAS CERTIFIED VETERINARY ACUPUNCTURIST, FAAO FELLOW OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OZONOTHERAPYVETERINARY SURGEON
Dr. Shum was born and raised in Hong Kong. She completed secondary, tertiary studies and a clinical residency with farm animals in Australia until 2007. Since then, she has worked in Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong where she developed particular interest in providing alternative complementary care to patients both young and old. Other than general medicine, she began to offer acupuncture in 2011, homeopathy in 2016, medical ozonotherapy in 2019 and photobiomodulation in 2021.
Farm animals are Dr. Shum’s absolutely favorite especially cows. She loves a cup of coffee and some hobbies include bread-making, gardening and Minox photography. Dr. Shum is also very partial to mongrels (aka Singapore specials) ever since having rescued an injured mongrel and trained her to learn to trust humans again.

XAVIERA
VETERINARY NURSEDespite graduating with a double major in Cyber Forensics and Information Security and Management and Business Information Systems, Xaviera found a greater calling in the Veterinary Industry and she has never looked back.
Xaviera always puts her patient's welfare as her top priority, ensuring that every patient is well taken care of.
She is a proud pawrent of a pair of 'A's', a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a Shih Tzu, named Ash and Ace. She enjoys taking up new skills and is currently learning a third language and attending guitar lessons.

VICKNAYS
VETERINARY NURSEVicknays, A.K.A. Vick graduated in 2016 with a Diploma in Banking and Financial Services. However, his desire to work with animals landed him at his first job as a Veterinary Nurse in 2018.
His adaptability and initiative enabled him to learn quickly and work well as a team. His drive to learn and develop his knowledge motivated him to take up Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, which he is currently pursuing. Vick is a gentle giant who is often seen baby talking to the animals to keep them comfortable. His knowledge gained from his Diploma also enables him to handle some of the admin duties in the clinic.
In his free time, Vick loves spending time managing his mini zoo at home that consists of 4 birds, 2 asian arowanas and his beloved Shih Tzu.

SHARON DE SOUZA
VETERINARY NURSESharon grew up having animals around her. Her first job was working with birds for many years. She has been working with Namly Animal Clinic for the past 18 years before its change of management. She enjoys her free time with her loved ones, birds, fishes and plants.

LYDIA TAN
VETERINARY NURSELydia graduated with a Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2014. She has been working with the Namly team since 2016 as both a nurse and receptionist. During her off days she enjoys relaxing at home catching up on her favourite shows and reading.

KELLY
VETERINARY NURSEKelly has loved animals since a young age and was always keen in pursuing a career that is related to her passion in helping and caring for small animals. She joined Namly Animal Clinic as a Veterinary Nurse after working at a pet farm. Nothing gives her more satisfaction than seeing animals recovering and walking out of the clinic in a healthy condition.
Kelly is experienced in handling difficult animals as she believes in adopting a calm and gentle approach whenever they are anxious and stressed. With her experience, she also volunteered to participate in the 'Trap, Neuter and Release' Programme for stray dogs in Jurong Island during her off days.
In her free time, Kelly loves to spend time with her two favourite companions, Lele (a 15-year-old Toy Poodle) and Tiger (a 12-year-old Tabby Cat). She also loves outdoor activities like cycling and jogging as well as eating good food and baking.

HO MAY LING
RECEPTIONISTWith a great love for animals, May started her first job as a veterinary assistant in Jurong Birdpark before becoming a veterinary nurse and receptionist at Namly Animal Clinic. She is honest and straight forward in her line of work. May is a mother of a teenage son, 2 cats, and a pet parrot. In her free time, she enjoys going for long walks and spending time with her family.
